Welcome to Seoul, Junior Delegates of Al Haraki at Asia World Model United Nation (AWMUN) XI.
Al Haraki sent 5 junior delegates to the next event of International MUN, Asia World Model United Nation (AWMUN) XI in Seoul, South Korea. The first day since Junior Delegates arrived in Seoul, South Korea, they traveled around Seoul city before they will be joining the MUN competition in the next day. They visited many places among others cultural experience at Gyeongbokgung Palace, culinary experience at Itaewon, Gangnam, educational destination at Coex Starfield Library and Shopping experience at Dongdaemun.
On the second day, Junior Delegates of Al Haraki attended the AWMUN opening ceremony that was opened by the director of IGN, a professor of Yonsei University and a German ambassador for South Korea. Moreover, Congratulations to Alila Keira Taufik who got the prize as one of the best motivation videos in the opening ceremony.
Then, the delegates joined the university visit to Korea and Yonsei University. Hopefully through this visit, it could broaden their knowledge and inspire about one of the top world universities. The last destination of the second day was Myeongdong Street, the place where delegates could find any Korean streetfood, souvenirs and skincare.
On the third day, the delegates attended the competition venue. They had some committee sessions that day, starting from the General Speaking List, Moderated Caucus, Unmoderated Caucus, making working paper, discussing Draft Resolution together with the other delegates around the world.
The delegates not only learned about how to ask and give opinions, but also how to negotiate, be responsible and caring about global issues, respect to the others’ opinion and broaden their knowledge through this event.
On the fouth day, the delegation joined the city tour to Gyeongbokgung Palace, King Sejong Statue, National Folks Museum.
At night the delegates had a gala dinner and closing ceremony to announce the winner of the competition. Many cultural performances around the world were shown including Indonesia that was represented by Al Haraki delegates, Naureen Kaisya Permana who performed Jaipong Dance.
Finally, congratulations to Abinaya Niscala who got the prize as the Best Dressed at the closing ceremony of AWMUN XI South Korea.
