SIMULASI TOEFL LEVEL 11 – SMAIT AL HARAKI

TOEFL is one of the most well-known English tests, especially in Indonesia. Test of English as a Foreign Language or known as TOEFL is a proficiency test that is used to see a person’s level of English proficiency without being directly linked to the teaching and learning process. It can be concluded that the TOEFL is different from the achievement test or a test whose scope is limited only to the lessons that students learn in an English class.

Usually the standard entry requirements to be accepted into universities both state and abroad are TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 (paper based) or IELTS with a minimum score of 6.0. The minimum grade required can be even higher if you wish to study majors such as medicine, literature and law.

Regarding the importance of TOEFL, SMAIT Al Haraki created a special class for level XI students to prepare early. Starting at the beginning of the semester, TOEFL preparation classes are held every Friday at 13.00-14.00. And at the last meeting on Friday, December 3, a TOEFL try-out was held.

The try out was held for 3 hours with 3 competencies, namely reading, structure and listening. For 3 hours students are asked to complete 150 questions according to the TOEFL standard. Alhamdulillah, the try-out went smoothly, we hope that students will be motivated to be more serious in preparing for the TOEFL as well as possible.
